The Completed Addition

The plastic walls that were separating the new addition from the rest of the house came down over the weekend, and with the amazing help of my mom and step-dad we were able to put the house back in a somewhat working order. We are so happy with the end result and our home now feels twice as big as it did before, and has such a better flow. We were so happy, relieved and excited to have our space back we invited some friends over to enjoy the warm weather and help break in the new space and celebrate.  Want a sneak peak?

Come inside our new front door
View after entering the front door - We popped out the old kitchen window and left the hole to help open up the space
View from the living room to the new addition. I love, love, love our new entry way closet and the solatubes we installed in the hallway which give off so much natural light

Walking in from the garage, this is the hallway to the guest bedroom, office and guest bath

This little nook will soon become a mini built in island with our wine cooler and additional storage

We have our final inspection tomorrow as well as the painters touching up all the walls so we can start moving furniture into the rooms. We went with all light and neutral paint colors in the new addition to keep it bright and airy. Luke loves his new extended race track around the entire kitchen and I can't wait to slowly start decorating the walls and rooms to make the new space feel more like home. I have been very impressed with how fast our contractor was able to finish the addition and am really happy to have a few months to nest, clean and organize before our baby girl gets here in June.
