America's Cup
Last week Em and I had our first outing into the city together. It was a beautiful day and we met up with B at his new office for lunch, then headed over to my office to meet up with one of my good friends who was out visiting from our Boston office. We walked down to the pier overlooking the finish line to the America's Cup race and saw team USA beat out New Zealand in an amazing come back win. Emma was an angel meeting all of B's co-workers, and slept through the race and most of the drive home.

3 Months!
Emma turned 3 months old on Sunday. She is such a happy baby and talks and gurggles and roles her r's in the back of her throat. She sleeps almost through the night usually only waking once to eat... most nights. She eats like clockwork every 3 hours and just went through her first growth spurt. She's wearing 3-6 month clothing and continues to be a string bean. She has lately been putting her hands, toys, pacifiers, blankets, my hair, or anything within reach into her mouth. I can feel her bottom teeth coming in, and I think she'll get her teeth in early just like her brother. She cries delicately and usually only for a brief period until we pick her up and give her a snuggle. Crying means one of three things, she's hungry, she needs a diaper change or just a snuggle. She's really an easy baby. Emma smiles at us all the time and has the best belly laugh ever. It's contagious. She just started rolling over and loves to be on her belly. She's remarkably strong and enjoys sitting in her jumper and bouncing by pushing with her legs.
I have absolutely LOVED these past 3 months staying home with my daughter and have very mixed feelings about returning to work in just over a week. It will be so tough to leave my bright eyed girl but I know it will be good for both of us in the long run.

Big Brother
The other morning as we were all getting ready and out the door for the day, I laid Emma on the floor while I was helping Luke get dressed. He wanted to lay on the floor too, and before I could protest, he started snuggling with her and giving her kisses on her belly. I sprinted for the camera and got back just in time to get the below shots. I think he's going to be one amazing, protective big brother.
