Greg and Kathy Tie the Knot

My uncle Greg and his wife Kathy got married on Sunday August 19th.  It was a beautiful ceremony celebrated in the church at the Mission Inn and followed by a classy reception in the Spanish Gallery (which felt like it was right out of a Harry Potter movie).

Luke was a little cranky after missing his nap, and Blake had to take him outside for most of the ceremony, but once the reception and the music started, you couldn't bribe him off the dance floor with all the candy in the world.  My kid loves to dance and has got some serious MOVES!  He was bouncing, and running, and crawling and twirling and had a permanent grin on his face the whole time.

It was great to catch up with the whole Mulligan side of the family, many of whom I hadn't seen in years and others I had never even met.   We danced until Luke could barely keep his eyes open and headed back up to our room.

When we got back to the room, Luke was crying, flailing his arms and legs, and was so overly tired.  We calmly put him in his crib, opened a nice bottle of wine, sat against the opposite wall away from Luke so he couldn't see us, and sipped while giggling and whispering to each other in the dark until the bean finally conked out.  Ah, the things parents do for their children.
