Well hello there. We have been a very busy little family these days with lots of family visits, summer BBQs, hanging with friends and most importantly lots of snuggles and fun with Luke. He is growing so much both in size and personality and these recent shots capture both of these changes. At Luke's 2 month checkup he was already at 11.6 lbs and 23.25 inches. Right on par with the norm, but it still amazes me that he's put on 3lbs and grown 2 inches in 8 weeks. He is very vocal and will coo and squeal to get our attention. His facial expressions are hilarious and he'll do the one sided eyebrow raise one second and then the zoolander pucker face the next. His new found love is with his play mat with all the hanging toys and animals for him to swat at and his new pet monkey. Monkey was given to him by my good friend Sophie and nothing can make Luke laugh or smile as big as monkey can. Monkey is also one of my favorite nicknames for Luke along with Bean, Little Bean, Tiger, Bugga Boo, and Pumpkin. Luke probably is very confused by this, but at least I am not calling him Kali or Sota... yet.

Speaking of Kali and Sota, they have both had their issues adjusting to life with a baby. I recently noticed Sota was licking her tail and bum a lot and after further investigation and a $300 trip to the vet, found out that she's been ripping out her hair on her tail and back legs from stress (Luke) and possible allergies. Since we brought Luke home, the dogs have been very jealous from all the attention Luke gets, and it's been hard going from top dog to a lower rung on the totem poll. Kali has also been acting out by scouring for Luke's paci's and chewing them up, as well as leaving "presents" by the door when the door is wide open for her to go outside to do her business. While I know it's been tough on both of the pups, they have also bonded and grown attached to baby Luke. They both will come and find me when Luke wakes up from a nap, will lay at my feet during feedings and will come running to Luke's side when they hear him cry.
Kinda makes me overlook and forgive them for all their silly antics... for a second at least.
